Issue 3 Weather Summer 2001

A Compilation of Quotes about the Weather

This compilation comprises quotes we found while researching the weather issue. They show a variety of ways in which the weather has been understood and used through the ages in disciplines ranging from science and literature to racist ideologies.

This document is thirteen pages long. You can print out a PDF-formatted version of it and read it where you want. We recommend a temperature above the mental optimum of 38 degrees Fahrenheit and below the physical optimum of 60 or possibly 65 degrees. See the quote from Ellsworth Huntington for further information.
