Cabinet’s new issue comes sprinkled with gold dust, courtesy of artist Peter Simensky. Visiting Cabinet HQ the day the issue arrived, Simensky scattered 7.9 grams of 24-karat gold over the magazines, an amount equal in value to the cost of printing the two pages allotted to his project.

Peter Simensky is a New York–based artist. Simensky’s work has been featured in solo exhibitions at the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego; Project Row Houses, Houston; and Museum 52 and the Swiss Institute, New York. He was recently an artist-in-residence at the MacDowell Colony in Peterborough, New Hampshire.
