Taxidermy: Stuff the World (dir. Morgan Matthews, 90 mins) is a BAFTA-nominated documentary that follows the fate of four competitors as they prepare for the 2005 World Taxidermy Championships in Illinois. From the Canadian ‘Taxidermy God’ Ken who is trying to mount a life-sized prehistoric Great Elk to nine-year-old deer hunter Victoria, the film draws detailed portraits of the vastly different people that taxidermy attracts. The film is followed by a short presentation by Robert Marbury, co-director of the Minnesota Association of Rogue Taxidermists.
