Airflow simulation inside the “Water Tunnel” at NASA’s Dryden Flow Visualization Facility, conducted on a model F-18 aircraft at 1/48th scale. The dyes released from the model into the flowing water reveal the aerodynamic idiosyncrasies of the airframe, airfoils, and other flight fixtures such as antennae, pylons, and parachutes.
